If you are a nursery volunteer and have not filled out the Reducing the Risk Volunteer Application please see Christy Habermehl to get one or check in the nursery for an application. This must be filled out before you can assist in the nursery.
Again the Christian Education Committee wants you to know how important it is to be in Sunday School every week, whether you are young or old. Several of our younger classrooms are very full with smiling faces and some are struggling. The 8-12 grade class has been lacking in attendance lately and the adult class seems to be growing every week. To those of you who have made the commitment to attend faithfully keep up the great work. To those of you who need to work a little harder to make Sunday School and church a weekly commitment and priority we are praying for you and miss you.
Christian Education Committee night is the first Wednesday of each month. Everyone in the congregation is invited to join the meeting. Sunday School teachers by default are on the committee and we would like to have as many SS teachers in attendance as possible. Mark your calendar for the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm.
LCOR Library…
Please be sure to stop in the church library that is located on the lower level on the left before you get to the Fellowship Hall. The library is open during the Sunday School
hour and also will be open during fellowship luncheons. There is a great reference section and some wonderful children’s books. We are working hard to increase the volumes in the
library but we need your help. If you have read a great book and would like to donate it to the library please do, if you do not want to donate it please pass along the title and author
by placing a note in the Christian Education box and we will review it and purchase it for the library. We would like to limit the books to somewhat Christian content and values. We
also have several movies on loan as well and will follow the same procedure for increasing this selection. If you have suggestions or questions please direct them to the Christian
Education Committee.

LCOR Safe Child Statement~At LCOR, we believe that the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of children and youth is vital. We intend to protect the children and youth, as well as those who work with them at our church. The policies we have implemented will assist our congregation in providing a physically safe, emotionally secure, and spiritually nurturing environment for all who work with minors at LCOR-volunteers, chaperones and compensated workers. Our volunteers, chaperones and compensated workers have filled out an application complete with references and the authorization to have a background check and have completed a training session on Making Your Church Safe From Child Sexual Abuse. |
